Trip Overview
Day 1: PARO:THIMPHU (55 Km , 2 Hours)
Arrive at the Paro airport and explore the town in the afternoon. Visit the oldest temple, Kyichu Lhakhang. Drive to Thimphu after evening tea. Overnight stay at a hotel in Thimphu
Day 2: THIMPHU
Whole day sightseeing and exploration of the capital town Thimphu and popular tourist attractions.
Overnight stay at hotel in Thimphu.
Day3: THIMPHU-TRONGSA (200 Km, 6.5 Hrs)
Drive to Trongsa through Wangdue town and cross the Pelela Pass. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes and pristine nature. Overnight stay at a hotel in Trongsa.
Day4: TRONGSA-BUMTHANG ( 68 Km, 2 Hrs)
Visit the Ta-Dzong and the Trongsa Dzong (fortress) and drive to Bumthang through Yontongla..
Overnight stay at hotel in Bumthang.
Day 5: BUMTHANG
Wholeday sightseeing and visit the most popular temples in the country like Jambay Lhakhag, Kurje Lhakhang and Tamzhing Lhakhang.
Visit Mebartsho in the afternoon and leisure time in the evening.
Overnight stay at hotel in Bumthang.
Day 6 : NIMALUNG FESTIVAL
Drive to Ura in the early morning to witness the Nimalung Festival and in the evening drive back to Bumthang.
Overnight stay in a hotle in Bumthang.
Day 7: KURJEY FESTIVAL
Witness the beautiful Kurjey Festival the whole day. Leisure time in the evening.
Overnight stay at hotel in Thimphu.
Day 8: BUMTHANG-PHOBJIKHA/GANGTEY ( 188 Km , 7 Hrs)
Drive to Phobjikha, winter residence of the Black necked cranes through the 3,300m high Pele la pass. Overnight stay at hotel in Gangtey.
Day 9: PHOBJIKHA/GANGTEY – PUNAKHA ( 78 Km , 3 Hrs)
Arrive in Punakha and in the afternoon visit the most beautiful Dzong (fortress) of Bhutan, the Punakha Dzong. Overnight stay in Punakha.
Day 10: PUNAKHA-PARO (143 Km, 5 Hrs)
Visit the temple of the Divine Madman, Chhimi Lhakhang. After lunch in a restaurant drive to Paro. Overnight stay at hotel in Paro.
Day11: PARO
Hike up to the famous Tiger’s Nest in the morning and after lunch visit other popular tourist attractions. Overnight stay at hotel in Paro
Day 12: PARO DEPART
After breakfast, you will drive to Paro airport for departure.
